German Courses
The "Institut für angewandte Sprache" (Institute for Applied Languages) offers a rich palette of German courses of all levels of the European Framework (ranging from A1 to C2). The course schedule is found under "Termine&Preise" and the current pricelist is found under "Preisliste". If you give us a call and schedule an appointment, you will receive counselling regarding your level of fluency and we will conduct a placement test.
Different types of courses:
1) Individual coaching: With such a course you are quite flexible with regards to schedules and topics covered. Apart from single lessons you can also book a package of 10 or 20 individual lessons. These packages are valid for one year after date of issue. Books or CDs are not included in the price.
2) Tandem coaching: This type is recommended if you want to study German together with your partner. Apart from single lessons you can also book a package of 10 or 20 individual lessons. These packages are valid for one year after date of issue. Books or CDs are not included in the price.
3) Small groups (only 3 to 7 participants), such as
"Turbo groups", which progress rapidly since you are expected to study also on your own at home. Such a course is only recommended for participants who are highly motivated and used to learning. The course material is included in the price.
"Intensive groups", which progress at a slower pace and explain all topics in great detail. The course material is included in the price.
"Topic courses" in which the terminology of a certain profession is taught—for example, topic courses for medical personnel, for tourism or for economics. The course material is included in the price.
The Institut für angewandte Sprache has also been certified at the ÖIF to conduct so-called "Integration courses". These courses will prepare you for an ÖIF exam (either FFÖ or DTÖ A2/B1 or DTÖ B2) which can also be taken at our institute.
Preparatory courses for tests for internationally acknowledged certificates, for example the ösd diploma (Österreichisches Sprach-Dimplom), the telc certificates, the diplomas of the Goethe-Institut or the TestDaF can also be conducted at our institute. The preparatory courses usually comprise 10 lessons of 45 minutes each. The test itself will then be taken at the respective test centers.
